What do you do in your home country and what do you hope to do upon your return? In particular, with the integration of your experiences here?

I'm a social media activist, a blogger, a slammer and the founder of a social civic movement called Open Conscience. It is a movement that focuses on youth empowerment, cultural and social work. I successfully connect the people who aspire to change the community and the country. On my blog I write about tourism in Africa.

I think I'm learning many things here so once I'm back home I will try to apply them to what I was doing. To inspire more people. On Facebook many young people are following me and I am an inspiration for them. I wish to continue inspiring them by what I’m doing. By perfecting what I was doing. Because I think we have so many talented youth in Benin so we just need someone to show them to tell them that they can achieve their dreams. I want to be that inspirational woman or girl that they can follow.

What is your favorite thing about your home country? How about Philadelphia?

Benin is one of the most democratic countries in Africa. After that, I like the peaceful cooperation of people of different faiths. The richness of our culture.

I walk so much in Philadelphia. In my country I don’t walk like that. I think walking is so good for the health so it's helping me actually. I appreciate Philadelphia because it plays a very big role in the history of America. The main place of evolution of American independence. When I visited the national constitution center, the African American museum. I think we should learn many things about that. When I am walking down the street I meet many people who smile at you without knowing you.

Do you have any hobbies or an interesting fact you wish to share about yourself?

I work on a project called ‘The Power of Slam’. The project was founded by the U.S embassy to help students in my country to use slam to tell the story and tell about the problems that they are facing in the communities. I am using art to impact communities.

When I came, the streets here have numbers, one day I was with another fellow and we got very lost. We got lost even using google maps. It was so funny, we found ourselves in front of Lebow again. Now I can recognize where Millenium is.

If I were to come to your home country, what is the first thing I should eat?

Pounded yam and peanut soup.
